Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC), Ranchi has developed a state-of-the-art Hydraulic Excavator of 5 CuM Bucket capacity using its in-house design capabilities and technical support from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
The front loading 5Cu M hydraulic shovel has been developed with financial support from Department of Heavy Industries under the scheme of 'Enhancement of competitiveness in the Indian Capital goods sector'.
The equipment is designed for application in the Mining and Construction sectors.
Manufacturing and assembly of the first prototype is in progress and the Excavator is scheduled for trial testing in May' 2019.
