At the "Make in India week" being organized by Government of India at Mumbai during 13 - 18th February' 2016 to commemorate and give a boost to the 'Make in India' campaign, in its support, HEC signed two MoUs.
HEC signed agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding with "Central Scientific Research Institute of Machine-Building Technology of Russia, which relates to creation of Common Engineering Facility Centre for imparting education on Melting, Welding Technology, Non Destructive Testing & Gear Manufacturing.
The second Memorandum of understanding and Non Disclosure Agreement was signed with Paul Wurth of Luxemburg for manufacture of coke oven machines in HEC with latest technology from Paul Wurth. The MoU was signed by Chairman cum Managing Director, HEC, Mr. Avijit Ghosh, and Senior vice President Mr Franco Mura, PAUL WURTH S.A.
This was held at the forum of "Capital Goods and Engineering: Realizing the 'Make in India Vision', where Honorable Minister for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises Shri Anant Geete, unveiled the National Capital Goods Policy and lauded industries for planning to produce the new products of Capital Goods sector. Joint Secretary, DHI, Mr Vishvajit Sahay, Managing Director Paul Wurth India Mr Anil Anand and other high level dignitaries of the Department of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Heavy industries & Public Enterprises were also present at the occasion.
