"Vigilance Awareness Week" was observed in Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited, Ranchi, in a befitting manner from 26.10.15 to 31.10.15, as per instructions of Central Vigilance Commission.
An inaugural function was held at HQ on 26/10/15 in the Reception Hall (Ground Floor, HQ), presided by CMD and attended by all Directors, CVO, Sr. Commandant/CISF, GMs/Advisors and HODs. The pledge was administered by CMD while messages of Hon'ble President of India, Vice President, Prime Minister etc. was read out by Directors. A Journal "SPARK-IV" was released by CMD during inaugural function.
During the Vigilance Awareness Week from 26.10.15 to 31.10.15, Debate Competition on the subject "How to Eradicate Corruption from Govt. PSUs", at all the plants/units including Hqrs., Drawing, Painting & Essay Writing Competitions at HEC Schools & HTI on the topic related to Corruption were held. This time students of Kairali School also took part in Essay competition on the topic "Necessity of Vigilance in Eradication of Corruption in Govt. PSUs". Prabhat Pheri was also organized by the students of HEC School, Sector- III from School to Nehru Park/FFP via Sector- III (F-type). At Nehru Park, CMD addressed the gathering about National Integrity Day to mark the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. To grace the Vigilance Awareness Week being celebrated in HEC from 26.10.15 to 31.10.15, CMD also emphasized about eradication of corruption from India in all spheres of life.
Valedictory Function on the conclusion of "Vigilance Awareness Week 2015" in HEC Limited, Ranchi was held at HEC Reception Hall/Hqrs. on 31.10.15. The function was attended by S/Sri Avijit Ghosh, CMD, A.V.Krishna, Director (Mktg.), S. K. Pattnayak, Director (Fin.), GMs, Sr. Commandant/CISF & other Senior Officers/Employees of HEC.
Prizes were distributed by CMD & Directors to the participants of the above competition. Special prizes were also given to 06 (six) officers/employees of HEC for actively participating in Vigilance Activities. HMTP was adjudged best organizer and GM/HMTP was given special Memento.
The participants of the valedictory session were addressed by S/Sri Avijit Ghosh, CMD, A.V.Krishna, Director (Mktg.). & S.K.Pattanayak, Director (Fin.).
The officers/employees of HEC were asked to maintain absolute integrity, honesty, devotion to duty and transparency in official work. The need to make each employee of HEC aware about the ill effects of corruptions and importance of vigilance in bringing over all organizational growth was reiterated by all the dignitaries.
