17.04.2015 - HEC at Hannover Messe 2015 - Two MoUs signed at this event

HEC participated in the Hannover Messe, one of the most prominent international industrial exhibition organized during 13 - 17 April 2015 at Hannover, Germany. India was designated a "Partner Country" at the event. The special status, gave a high-profile platform to the Indian participants.

HEC made an effective presentation of its industrial and business achievements and its fitness for the future. A high-level team led by CMD, HEC, Sri Avijit Ghosh, made every effort to explore and tap opportunities at this international platform.

As a result, HEC has signed two Memorandum of Understandings on 15.04.2015 at Hannover, Germany in the august presence of Shri Rajan Katoch, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industries; Shri Visvajeet Sahay, Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry and captains of Indian and foreign companies.

The first MOU was signed with Kirow Adelt GmBh of Leipzig for manufacture of Railway Cranes. Kirow is the market leader of Railway cranes in the world. HEC has signed the MoU for manufacture and supply of cranes to Indian market particularly to Indian Railways and Steel Authority of India Ltd. These cranes are multipurpose cranes which are used for switch construction, track and bridge construction and accident recovery.

HEC has signed the MoU for manufacture of railway cranes for lifting capacities ranging from 25tonnes to 160 tonne. This will give HEC an advantage to offer a complete portfolio of cranes apart from custom made EOT cranes which HEC is already manufacturing for different customers.

A second MOU has also been signed for promoting Vocational education and Training with Europe India foundation for excellence of Belgium. This will help HEC to undertake, finance, co-produce research, education and other activities to promote the idea of skill development in the state of Jharkhand by developing HEC Training Institute (HTI) as a centre of excellence.

In line with the vison of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi, for development of skilled man power, HEC has also come forward to assist and associate in this particular field of development by way of sharing its skill development facilities.

The agreement signed will explore the offering of skill development programs in India through the articulated arrangements of joint programming either on site or through an e-learning platform. It will provide skill training, technical teacher training, setting up academics of excellence and conducting customized corporate training programs to the youth.
