HEC has signed a protocol with CNIITMASH of Moscow, Russia, a parent material science organization of the state atomic energy corporation Rosatom, regarding technical collaboration for manufacture of items for steel plant, thermal and nuclear power plant and others as well as technical assistance in modernization of HEC. It has also been agreed that CNIITMASH will help HEC in establishing a centre of excellence in the following areas:
* Welding technology
* Non-destructive testing
* Gear manufacturing
* ESP technology
The protocol has been signed by Mr Avijit Ghosh, CMD and Sri Kushal Saha, Director (Production) from HEC side and Mr. Vladimir E.Mikhailov, Director General of CNIITMASH on 25th March at Moscow.
For the above, CNIITMASH shall conduct technical audit subsequent to signing of an MoU in this regard.
