01.11.2010 - Vigilance Awareness Period In HEC
Vigilance Awareness Period was observed in Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited, Ranchi in a befitting manner from 25.10.10 to 01.11.10.
The following activities were organized during the vigilance awareness week:-
- Banners, posters etc. were displayed in a conspicuous manner at prime locations at the Hqrs. office of HEC Ltd., as well as in all the plants/units like FFP, HMBP, and HMTP & Project Division.
- An inaugural function was held at HEC Hqrs. on 25.10.10, where oath was administered by Sri G.K.Pillai CMD, HEC to all the Directors, GMs and other HODs. The messages of Hon'ble President, Vice President & Prime Minister of India were read out by the Directors/GMs, while the message of Central Vigilance Commissioner was read out by CVO/HEC. Oath to all the officers/employees of the Hqrs. office of HEC was administered by Sri Ravindra Verma, CVO/HEC. GMs/HODs administered the oath to the officers/employees of their respective units at FFP, HMBP, HMTP, Hospital etc.
- A debate/speech competition was held at each plant/units on the topic "Generation of Awareness and Publicity against Corruption" from 26.10.10 to 29.10.10 in which officers/employees of HEC participated in large numbers. CVO and other Vigilance Officers attended the debate/speech competition at each plant/unit and also held an interactive session with the officers/employees present, on the need for vigilance awareness and action to be taken against corrupt practices in the organization.
- An interactive programme was held with the representatives of various works/service contractors running in the organization on 30.10.10 to make them aware about the importance of vigilance and know their problems related to corrupt practices (if any) in the Corporation, which was attended by CVO and other senior officers of Vigilance/Personnel & Administration Deptt. of HEC Ltd.
- Details of phone number and email address of CVO/HEC Ltd. were displayed on the Website of HEC Ltd., to receive complaints against corruption from public.
- A valedictory function was held on 1st November 2010 at HEC Hqrs. where prizes of debate/speech competition were distributed to the participants and an interactive session on Vigilance Awareness was also held, attended by Directors, GMs, CVO and other senior officers of the Corporation. A special prize was given to SDGM I/c. (Shipping & Movement Department)/HMBP for introducing system improvement in payment to Transporters as per the advise of Vigilance Department.
